Property app registrations expected to triple in 2015

One portal has revealed the innovative local marketing strategies that agents are applying to its customisable app.

More than 150 agencies have registered with propertyVIEWlive since realestateVIEW.com.au launched it six months ago. Numbers are forecast to exceed 500 by the end of the year.

General manager Petra Sprekos told Real Estate Business that the app’s layout, branding and functionality are fully customisable.

“For example, one agency has included a local restaurant review section in their app and another is looking to run a footy-tipping competition through theirs as a way to increase engagement with their customers,” she said.

Ms Sprekos said realestateVIEW.com.au wants to upgrade the app so it improves the experience for potential sellers, buyers and renters.

“Some of the upgrades we are looking to rollout in the near future include the ability for agents to capture and share video footage directly through the app,” she said.

“Our team of developers are also working on building the rental application process into the app to increase efficiency for agents and renters.”

One of the app’s features is that it allows agents to contact potential buyers the moment a property is listed.

“It takes customer service to the next level because agents can update their database if there’s been a price drop, keys have become available, an offer has been received, or even to encourage applications following a busy open for inspection,” Ms Sprekos said.

Agents can also use the app to host section 32s and rental applications, while also generating additional revenue through in-app advertising.

The app also includes a safety button that allows agents to alert their office if they feel threatened or require assistance at open for inspections.
