Aussie buyer’s agents and brokers will be the rising stars of the upcoming House Hunters Australia television show, further bolstering the brand’s property sector presence.

The national home loan brand Aussie has been named the official sponsor of the television show House Hunters Australia, which will premiere this Sunday (11 May) on Network 10.

House Hunters was first launched in 1999 as an American show and has since aired more than 1,900 episodes across 262 seasons while inspiring multiple domestic and international spin-offs.

The first season of the new House Hunters Australia show will follow everyday Australians as they go on their home-buying journeys and are assisted by real estate agents and brokers to find their dream home.

The show will also feature a series of 60-second “break engagers” which feature real Aussie brokers and buyers’ agents as they help to guide customers through their key property decisions.

The new partnership follows the recent introduction of Aussie’s buyer’s agent and property search platform, and is part of the home loan brand’s broader move to develop an integrated property ecosystem that caters to the real estate sector.

Emily Lonsdale, general manager of growth at Aussie’s parent company, Lendi Group, emphasised that the chance to sponsor House Hunters Australia came at an opportune time.

“As our proposition evolves from mortgage broker to an integrated property ecosystem, we need to bring Australians on that journey and show them we’re in their corner in new ways – and at every step,” Lonsdale said.

House Hunters Australia is the perfect platform to bring this brand evolution to life – to show the real value we can deliver for customers by empowering them with sophisticated market analysis and property search, through to professional mortgage broking and quick conveyancing – all under one roof.”

Aussie also plans to build on its investment into House Hunters Australia by offering a dedicated digital content hub that will provide the show’s audience with practical home ownership tips and insights inspired by each weekly episode.

Head of Paramount ANZ Brand Studio, Michael Stanford, said the broadcaster was thrilled to welcome Aussie as the official sponsor for the first season of House Hunters Australia.

“Australia’s obsession with property runs deep – and House Hunters Australia taps into this beautifully,” Stanford said.

“The series is so entertaining and engaging, taking viewers along for the ride as home buyers dive headfirst into the chaos of finding their dream home with all the emotions, fiery opinions and laughs along the way.”

Stanford also shared that he was enthusiastic to partner with Aussie to kick-off the show’s inaugural season.

“Aussie is such an authentic and ideal partner for the show as they are a major force in the property market, offering a range of premium products and services for home buyers, just like those we see in the show,” he said.

The premiere of House Hunters Australia will air at 8:15pm on Sunday, 11 May, and then weekly every Friday from 16 May at 7:30pm, on 10 and 10 Play.
