Growing up surrounded by construction sites and design plans, Jorja Ierardo’s love for property came naturally. Now a leading Investor Relationship Manager and Licensed Estate Agent with Barry Plant Eastern Group, she has turned that early passion into a high-performing, client-focused career defined by efficiency, innovation and outstanding results.
How did you start down this career path?
Property has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My dad is a builder, so I grew up around construction, design and development projects. I was always fascinated by how a block of land could transform into something valuable through vision and hard work. That early exposure shaped my career direction. I’ve always loved the idea of helping people grow wealth through property.
What inspires you in your role/industry? Why?
The property industry rewards hard work and initiative. The results you achieve are often a direct reflection of the effort you put in. I love that success in this field can change your life; it’s one of the few industries where your income potential is unlimited if you’re driven, disciplined and client-focused. Beyond the financial side, I’m also inspired by helping clients make smart decisions that build long-term wealth.
What's your approach to customer service that separates you from the rest?
My philosophy is simple, get to clients before they get to me. I’m highly proactive, and I make sure my clients never have to chase me. Communication and reliability are everything in this business, and I pride myself on being accessible and responsive at all times. I’ve built a reputation for efficiency and for anticipating my clients’ needs before they even ask.
How do you innovate and stay ahead of industry trends?
I’m always looking for ways to make doing business with us easier, faster and more seamless. For example, we’ve introduced professional video tours for our rental listings, something that’s still quite rare in the rental space. It allows prospective tenants to engage with a property from anywhere in the world. I’m also focused on refining our systems and leveraging technology so our processes are transparent and client-friendly from start to finish.
What is the toughest challenge you’ve faced in your role? How did you overcome it?
One of my biggest challenges has been learning to delegate effectively. As someone who takes pride in high standards and attention to detail, it can be difficult to hand over control. Building a strong team around me and learning to share responsibility has been a huge turning point. It’s allowed me to focus on the areas where I add the most value and has significantly improved productivity across the board.
What are some of your goals for the next five years?
Over the next five years, my goal is to achieve my highest-income years yet by scaling my performance, strengthening client relationships and expanding my impact within the business. I want to continue setting new benchmarks for service and results. I want to keep building a career I’m proud of and a reputation that speaks for itself.
