Laing+Simmons has appointed a veteran property manager to its corporate management team to ensure training, boost success, and support property managers amid mounting rental market pressures.

Laing+Simmons has announced the appointment of experienced property manager Taylor Greive to its corporate property management division.

The company said that Greive brings 11 years of experience, having worked as a senior property manager in Western Sydney.

“Greive brings a unique mix of operational knowhow, strategic insight, and frontline tribunal experience to the Laing+Simmons corporate property management team,” the network said.

Head of property management, Michael Anania, said Greive had a reputation for delivering exceptional results and “standing tall in the tribunal room”.

“Our in-house property management division is going from strength to strength, and we are committed to providing flexibility, expertise, and consistency to the Laing+Simmons network. Taylor’s appointment embodies this commitment,” Anania said.

“She has immediately become an integral part of the corporate outfit and is already training property management teams across the network on how to lift their tribunal success rate.”

“In many cases, she attends hearings on their behalf,” he said.

Anania added that the addition of Greive was a boost to the company’s resources, which allowed it to continue to deliver exceptional service at the corporate level.

“We are focused on delivering a seamless corporate experience in which Laing+Simmons people focus on their core business while we take care of the administrative heavy lifting,” Anania said.

Greive said property managers were under pressure as a result of the rental crisis, and that her goal is to alleviate this pressure across the Laing+Simmons network.

“Through best practice training and support, including new legislation and changing obligations, we ensure our property managers are fully prepared,” she said.

Greive said tribunal preparation was a stage that property management offices specially feel the pressure ramp up.

“Therefore, we don’t just teach the process, we show teams how to win and be prepared. If they need us to step in, we’re there to attend on their behalf or with their team.”

“It’s all part of delivering the most comprehensive in-house property management service we can,” Greive said.

Laing+Simmons said Greive focused on preventing issues before they arise and become disputes.

“She works with offices to refine their end-to-end project management processes, delivers in-person and virtual training sessions, and crucially identifies compliance gaps to prevent problems from occurring in the first place,” it said.

Ultimately, the company described its property management team as a “major point of difference”.

“From head office, it can facilitate short or long-term support to offices, depending on individual business needs,” the company said.

“Whether it’s to complement the core sales function of their businesses in a permanent capacity, cover holiday fill-ins, or fill the service gap until they establish their own property management business, the choice is theirs.”
