An internal promotion has seen Michelle Mullan appointed into the role of Victorian state sales manager.
Previously in a senior partnership manager position with the group, Homely has credited Ms Mullan with playing a key role in growing the platform’s network not only across the state but also more broadly throughout the nation over the past three years she has spent with the brand.
According to Homely head of sales Rory Cook, “Michelle brings an incredible sales and leadership ethic to the team”.
“Her deep knowledge of the Victorian real estate market makes her a natural choice for the role,” he continued.
Ms Mullan herself has expressed excitement at taking on the new role, sharing that she is “excited to lead our Victorian team and build stronger relationships for the future of real estate”.
Having previously worked in the real estate portal space at Domain for more than 15 years, the now-Victorian state sales manager said she had “witnessed firsthand our customers’ frustrations when it comes to marketing challenges”.
“Since starting at Homely, it’s clear this sentiment is a nationwide widespread issue in the industry,” she continued.
“We are listening and responding to the industry with cost-effective alternatives.”
Homely now touts the likes of Barry Plant, Wilson Agents, RT Edgar Boroondara, Obrien Real Estate, Philip Webb, Biggin & Scott Port Melbourne, and Buxton Ballarat among its strategic partners in the region.
According to Mr Cook, Victoria continues to drive immense growth for Homely, sharing that agents in its home state are “crying out” for advertising alternatives.
“With a groundswell of industry support and the team we have here in Victoria, we are well-positioned to continue disrupting the industry,” he stated, with the brand set to continue its hiring and growth “blitz” over the coming weeks.
The latest appointment follows the official announcement of a marketing head to the Homely executive team back in April as well as the reveal of a new partnership in the proptech space in early May.
