The Property Investment Professionals of Australia has partnered with Real Estate Business and Smart Property Investment for the inaugural Australian Buyers Agent Awards, celebrating and recognising the nation’s top buyer’s agents.
The Property Investment Professionals of Australia (PIPA) has been named the official association partner of the Australian Buyers Agent Awards, recognising the role buyer’s agents play in shaping fairer, more transparent property outcomes in the property market.
Through Real Estate Business and Smart Property Investment, the inaugural Awards will recognise the expertise, dedication, and innovation of buyers’ agents, a growing force in Australia’s property market.
Across 26 categories, the awards will celebrate and raise the profile of the buyer’s agency profession, recognising those who set new standards in service, professionalism, and innovation, reflecting Momentum Media and its partners’ dedication to excellence in real estate.
PIPA chair Cate Bakos said the partnership showed how far the profession has come since the association was founded more than two decades ago.
“When PIPA was first established in 2005, buyer’s agents were a niche part of the property sector. Today, they represent a significant proportion of transactions, which is helping to improve outcomes for homebuyers and investors every day of the week,” Bakos said.
She said that supporting the awards aligned with PIPA’s founding purpose, which raises professional standards across the property investment advice sector.
“Supporting the Australian Buyers Agent Awards ensures the association is continuing to promote best practice and professionalism for all practitioners.”
Bakos said the awards program was both a celebration of excellence and an opportunity for entrants to reflect on their achievements.
“Becoming a finalist in these awards is not only a reflection of a buyer’s agent’s commitment to professionalism, but the nomination process also enables practitioners to take a moment to reflect on their business practices over the past year – which can set them up for more professional success in the future.”
“Lastly, but importantly, the opportunity to meet, network and celebrate with like-minded industry professionals is enormously valuable for this niche cohort of real estate agents.”
In total, buyer’s agents can submit across 26 categories, including 16 individual and 10 group categories.
The individual categories include Buyers Agent of the Year – Residential PPOR/Commercial, Luxury and Prestige Buyers Agent of the Year, and Rising Star of the Year.
Companies will be recognised in group categories, including Buyers Agency of the Year (PPOR, Residential Investment, Commercial), and Start Up Buyers Agency of the Year.
Leadership and excellence will also be celebrated with three special awards, including Director/Executive of the Year, Professional Referral Network of the Year and Social Impact Community Contribution Award.
Submit an entry or nominate a colleague or business by Thursday, 26 February 2026, to be in the running for the inaugural awards program.
