Does your staff have a UNIFORM understanding of where your business is heading, what your visions are, how you perceive your company moving forward within your market place?

Uniform conversations; communications; brand; procedures

Nurture, guide and support staff, clients and tradespeople to a long, fruitful and exciting experience, leaving them wanting more

Integrity and transparency of all staff is vital if you are to gain ongoing trust of clients and tradespeople

Formalised goals to achieve your business‘s full potential

Operations consistently performed by all property managers and sales personnel without exception

Reputation and retention built on service from reception, property managers and sales personnel

Now, I’m not suggesting you go into details of every goal; share your vision and goals that encourage your teams for those who see your vision, enlist them, help them to achieve so you achieve, and your clients and tradespeople achieve.

With your guidance your teams will not only enhance your brand and reputation, but also assist you with organic growth, fostering referrals from past and present clients. Your agency has the potential to become the agency of choice not only for new clients but also potential staff, enabling your business to grow from small to a larger player within your marketplace.

The intrinsic value of your company has increased 10-fold as long as you continue to nurture your clients and staff, remembering to honour yourself, have gratitude for those who believed in your vision and supported you in your moments of self-doubt.

When your team believes in you, their self-belief grows and the whole team supports one another, creating an inspirational atmosphere within your company that becomes vibrant. Staff have mutual respect, creating a harmonious environment.

Working in several offices, I don’t see a lot of mutual respect. In fact, I see quite the opposite; staff belittling one another, bullying, lack of communication or disrespecting your clients. Why? Because you don’t have a forward plan, you have not shared your business goals with your team, or you are in continual crisis mode extinguishing one fire after another, leaving you exhausted.

Your responsibility is to create and maintain a work environment that supports, guides and nurtures all who enter your office doors. If you notice staff retention falling, investigate and have the courage to coach or mentor those who need to embrace your desired culture, not to destabilise your team of choice who will envelop your vision and goals.

Ultimately, you may need to remove some staff members who are destabilising or who show signs of not embracing your vision for your business.

Remember that they fired themselves long before you had any discussion with them with their attitudes and disrespectful behaviours to those who have encountered them on your behalf.

Clients notice this long before you lose managements or brand damage actually surfaces. Wish all that leave your employ well for their future endeavours and never resort to negative attitudes or behaviour. Always show that you truly do wish them well.

Move on with your future vision and forward-planning goals.
