We know you have a challenging job

Maintenance can be one of the most dreaded tasks for a property manager. It is complex and never quite the same each time you do it.  Every job has its own complexities due to the fact that you are dealing with a different property, different landlord, different tenant and different trade supplier in each instance.

Dealing with maintenance is not merely about creating a work order. It has a life cycle and a number of different workflow steps from beginning to end.

Each maintenance job, on average, requires 36 emails to and from the relevant parties (landlord, tenant, strata and trade supplier) during the life cycle of the job.

The average email takes about three minutes of your time, and on any given day, you could be spending one and a half hours on emails alone. On top of that, you have to create the work order, attach any extra documentation and schedule additional reminders to follow-up with the other parties concerned.

But if you were using industry-leading workflow software, such as Maintenance Manager, it only takes a few clicks of your mouse and inserting job information into two fields to get you under way.

Good workflow software automatically sends your emails based on templates your agency has perfected, and it also sends automatic reminders to all parties to follow-up on instructions without you having to schedule or remember to do so.

In total, you will have only spent approximately five minutes dealing with the life cycle of the job through your workflow software.

What would you do with the extra one hour and 25 minutes you’ve saved? Multiply that time-saving over the week and you’ll find some quality time to reconnect with your clients and make those happy calls.
