Leading residential real estate group McGrath Estate Agents has opened a new office in one of Sydney’s rising suburbs, as it strengthens its position in the city’s south.

McGrath Sans Souci will be led by Matthew King and Kieran Bresnahan.

This is the fourth franchise office under Mr King and Mr Bresnahan’s leadership and will complement the already established Brighton-Le-Sands office, which has been serving the local area for the past seven years.

McGrath Sans Souci focus on the key suburbs of Sans Souci, Ramsgate, Dolls Point, Sandringham and Kogarah Bay.

“Opening a dedicated sales office in Sans Souci will allow us to strengthen our market share in this important and increasingly popular region,” Mr King said.

McGrath founder and executive director John McGrath said Sans Souci and its surrounds are among the most desirable areas in Sydney.

“It offers all the appeal and benefits of Sydney’s southern suburbs and just minutes to the bay, airport and a short commute to the CBD,” Mr McGrath said.

Mr Bresnahan said the local prestige market has strengthened in the last six months. He said that Sans Souci has experienced a “significant” uplift in out-of-area buyers from Sydney’s eastern suburbs and inner west.

"We recently sold a home in excess of $9 million which not only surpassed the previous suburb record by more than $3 million, it also achieved a new high for the St George region,” he said.

“The entry level market also continues to be buoyant with strong inquiry and results, particularly from family buyers.”

McGrath Sans Souci will offer mortgage broking services through Oxygen Home Loans.

Sans Souci is considered to be an appealing lifestyle destination with a vibrant café culture, shopping villages, and parks and recreational areas.

The Sans Souci market has performed strongly, with house prices increasing 45 per cent over the past three years.
