A new online service aims to connect property investors with a range of property and finance professionals in their local area.

The site, launched by the Property Investment Professionals of Australia (PIPA), features a unique search-by-postcode database of property specialists.

Investors can use this search to identify property managers, real estate agents, financial planners, mortgage brokers, accountants, property investment advisers and buyer’s agents operating in specific areas.

“In a marketplace where property investment is really gathering pace, the introduction of PIPA's search-by-postcode function is very timely," PIPA chair Ben Kingsley said.

The new website forms part of the association’s campaign against property spruikers.

Other measures include a new anti-spruiking advertising campaign and a strengthened commission disclosure policy for PIPA members.

This new policy requires all new and existing PIPA members to provide documentation regarding their fee and commission disclosure policies, including any arrangements with third parties or other related entities.
