A former Marshall White director is The Agency’s latest hire in a move aimed at extending the reach of the brand in a key market.

Adrian Wood has come across to The Agency’s new Albert Park office in Melbourne.

The Agency’s Victorian general manager, Peter Kakos, said that Mr Wood fits in with the culture of The Agency and his skill set makes him perfect for growth.

“Our focus from day one has been to attract the very best people who fit well culturally and will live our values,” Mr Kakos said.

“Adrian Wood’s exceptional customer focus marries beautifully with his 20-plus years of experience, incredible drive and significant level of success. These qualities have made him one of the best agents in the area, and culturally the team love having him on board.”

Mr Wood specialises in the $2 million to $6 million residential category and will be working across Port Phillip and the surrounding markets.

Mr Wood said that he was attracted to join The Agency due to their model and flexibility.

“The Agency business model is the right model for real estate moving forward. Agents run their own business within the model, representative of our view that brands don’t sell property; people do,” Mr Wood said.

Mr Wood added that people want transparency and an agent who can create individualised campaigns to get the right buyers.

“Buyers and sellers want transparency, they want an agent who understands current market trends and can be nimble, fresh and exciting enough to design a campaign focused on attracting and engaging the right buyers based on the client’s needs and not a company need,” the new hire said.

Buyers have more options to buy real estate than before, and it means that agents have to be nimble and provide tailored strategies based on a client’s need.

Mr Wood said: “Clients remember how the experience made them feel when buying and selling with an agent. Ultimately, if you look after people, they will come back.”
