Raine & Horne St Marys’ Peter Diamantidis is Western Sydney’s best agent, according to the REB Top 100 Agents 2018 ranking released this week, along with colleagues Ric Serrao, co-principal of Raine & Horne Double Bay & Bondi Beach, and Dib Chidiac of Raine & Horne Concord.

While Mr Diamantidis, Mr Serrao and Mr Chidiac have made the Top 100 Agents ranking for 2018, the three leading Raine & Horne agents — the trio — are also finalists in the Sales Agent of the Year – Metropolitan category of the 2018 REB Awards.

Executive chairman of Raine & Horne Angus Raine lauded all three agents.

“I’m really pleased for Peter, Ric and Dib, who are consistently among our best agents nationally,” Mr Raine said.

“This is a tremendous effort considering Peter is achieving an average sale price of $828,709 compared to the average sale price of $1.6 million for the Top 100 agents.”

Mr Raine said that the average dollar of sales for the Top 100 agents was $155.6 million, a figure that dwarfs Mr Diamantidis’ total sales of $116.848 million.

“Peter has been able to compete with the best by converting large numbers of his listings to sales. Consequently, Peter finished 11th for his total number of sales, with Ric in sixth in this hard-working category.”

Mr Diamantidis said that he is humbled to hold such a “lofty” position among Australia’s best agents.

“That Raine & Horne St Marys is recognised for our experience operating in a challenging market is really pleasing,” Mr Diamantidis said.

“We are not putting all our eggs in the one buyer basket and are working with investors, first home buyers and those interested in securing properties off the plan.

“If I didn’t take the time to work with different buyer segments, there is no way I would be in the Top 100, given the lower median property values in St Marys and surrounding suburbs compared to, say, Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, or Hawthorn, Toorak and Kew in Melbourne.”

Mr Diamantidis said that he has also embraced digital technologies and social media in combination with conventional sales methods to ensure his vendors’ properties find buyers rapidly and transact for the best price possible.

The REB Top 100 Agents 2018 ranking, partnered exclusively by realestate.com.au, is decided on several metrics including the number properties sold, the total dollar volume of properties sold and the total value of residential properties sold.

Each agent is ranked comparatively across the three metrics, with the combined metric score used to determine the top-ranked agents in the country.
