After 16 years under a single brand, one high-performance Stonnington and Boorondara agent has joined The Agency.

Long-time Stonnington resident Adam Cashmore is renowned for his ties to the local community and his sales results.

He will expand The Agency’s presence into the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, including Malvern East, Malvern, Hawthorn East, Toorak, Glen Iris and Armadale.

The Agency’s general manager of Victoria, Peter Kakos, said that Mr Cashmore is well known for his “genuine and ethical” approach to real estate.

He said that Mr Cashmore is a well-respected member of the local area.

“Adam’s experience and expertise in the Stonnington area was exactly what we were looking for. He literally lives and breathes the area,” Mr Kakos said.

“He has developed and built an extremely strong following of clients who are drawn to his caring and nurturing nature, combined with his passion and skill in achieving great property outcomes.”

Mr Kakos also said that Mr Cashmore has an “innate ability” to connect with people.

“With our new office about to launch in the east, servicing the eastern and south-eastern corridor, more clients will be able to benefit from The Agency’s point of difference.”

Mr Cashmore said that it was a significant move to change brands after 16 years, but he needed a fresh approach.

“One where the personal touches are at the forefront of the business and professional development and motivation are promoted within.”

He said that The Agency was a good fit.

“The branding is modern and appealing and the business model is different to the old-school real estate office,” Mr Cashmore said.

“It has a ‘new’ vibe and offers the flexibility and challenge that I have been searching for at this stage of my career.

“Within The Agency model, I will essentially be operating my own business under the umbrella of a reputable and professional brand. I will be forming a team of motivated agents who will be working together for each other’s success.”

Mr Cashmore said that adaptation is required to thrive in the changing market and evolving industry.

“Agents need to be honest with their clients and, rather than just follow standard procedures, work ‘smarter’ to sell their homes, which doesn’t necessarily mean ‘harder’.”
