LJ Hooker in Queensland has bolstered its northern Gold Coast offering with the merger of two of its top performing offices there, after a similar move last week where five offices combined around a Robina HQ.

LJ Hooker Coomera and LJ Hooker Ormeau have joined forces.

The move brings together prominent industry leaders and business directors Shane Colquhoun; LJ Hooker Coomera, and Nicole Hintz; LJ Hooker Ormeau.

They have combined their businesses with market specialist David Brown, who will assume the licensee and sales manager role.

The merger expands Mr Colquhoun’s network to five LJ Hooker agencies across the Gold Coast, adding to his existing operations at Nerang, Helensvale and Pacific Pines.

Mr Colquhoun and Ms Hintz have been long-time contemporaries, and they share a passion for real estate throughout the city’s growth corridor.

“There’s enormous scope to provide customers in the growth corridor a heightened level of service that integrates the knowledge and connections of specialists across sales and property management from Coomera to Ormeau,” said Mr Colquhoun.

“I’ve known Nicole and her team for more than a decade and we value the same commitment to customers and delivering innovative property solutions. We’re excited at the newfound opportunities we’ll be delivering customers under the merger.”

Ms Hintz said she had been looking for an opportunity to expand her business in the corridor for several years.

“Along the M1 from upper Coomera, through to Kingsholme, Ormeau Hills and Pimpama, there are communities with shared values and ambitions,” said Ms Hintz.

“Investors are attracted to the yields on offer and infrastructure program, while home owners recognise the affordability in established homes and house and land packages in the various estates.”

Ms Hintz said the opportunity was too good to miss.

“I’ve always appreciated the capacity to widen the service we provide our customers throughout the corridor and the opportunity to do it with Shane and David, who are two of the leading real estate minds in the region, was too good to pass over, she said.

“Importantly, as the three of us know how we both operate, the transition for our property investors and vendors has been seamless.”

Last week, business leaders David Manby and Raymond Pienaar announced a $2.05 million investment, purchasing a Robina headquarters to cater for growth in its hinterland-to-coast operation.

They said the move is the “central plank” in their growth strategy for 2019, and aimed to increase the number of sales, property management and support and marketing staff from 70 to 90 across five agencies.

To do so, the entrepreneurial pair have centralised their Robina and Mudgeeraba teams at the new HQ, and added LJ Hooker Mermaid Beach, which will work in tandem with sister agency LJ Hooker Burleigh Heads, to the stable. They will also re-launch the Nobby Beach coastal agency.
