Soho has expanded its property ecosystem, as it has partnered with The Agency.

The social property app will now be able to feature thousands of more properties from around Australia as a result of this new partnership.

Additionally, app users will be able to tap into market updates and trends from agents who can help buyers find what they are looking for at the right price.

“We’re excited to bring The Agency into Sohos property ecosystem which gives property seekers thousands more properties to choose from across the eastern seaboard as well as in Western Australia,” Soho boss Jonathan Lui said.

The Agency has been on the scene for three years and is a national real estate network available on the east and west coasts of Australia.

During that time, it has had an impact on the industry with its non-franchise model, with more than 300 sales agents.

The company values its ability to be agile, adaptable and have an impact in today’s real estate market, national head of sales Thomas McGlynn said.

“Soho’s platform combines the strongest attributes of current social media channels and real estate portals in one, and that is something we want to be a part of,” he said.

The Soho platform has been described as the LinkedIn for real estate, as it provides a free service for both home hunters and agents alike.

“Creating an agent profile or posting monthly market updates on Soho is completely free and always will be,” Mr Lui said.

“We are well into the user-generated content is free era, and the more properties we can support online, the better it will be for property seekers who can discover more and more properties on Soho. By removing all pricing barriers and allowing agents to post more content to their online profiles, we’re giving property seekers more opportunities to discover their dream home beyond just traditional property search.”

Just like LinkedIn, the platform has a premium subscription which gives users access to online data reports, or a better ability to reach out to specific buyers, renters or owners on its network.

“For agents, this means they can proactively reach out to qualified buyers or renters in Soho rather than just waiting for them to browse and ‘chance’ upon their property listing,” he said.
