Marcus Chiminello is always planning forward to make sure he gets the most out of his day.

Speaking on an episode of the Secrets of the Top 100 Agents podcast, Marshall White’s Marcus Chiminello has revealed how he keeps on the front foot.

“Every day is different,” he told host Phil Tarrant. “But I think your best day always commences yesterday.”

Mr Chiminello is continually planning how his time will be spent so he gets the best value.

“If I’m not planning for tomorrow today; I’m continually planning out for the following days.”

However, the emphasis he puts on planning comes down to what his objective is.

“It depends on if you are in deal mode, deal momentum, listing momentum and trying to basically bridge the gap and bring a deal together,” Mr Chiminello said.

When he is in one of those modes, planning is not as vital because the task at hand takes up his attention.

Mr Chiminello’s emphasis on planning highlights his commitment to real estate, and that has kept him on a relatively upward trajectory over the past decade.

“That’s because, not to sound boring, but I do the same things all the time repetitively, consistently, and you callous your mind, you callous your hands,” he said.

“You build up this repetitive task. Not necessarily like I’m sitting here, doing literally the same thing every day, but the same disciplines every day that I know they’re going to produce me the same results, if not better.

“And I think that’s one thing that if you can’t be consistent over a period of time, everyone can be consistent for a day or a week or a month. But to do it, and get up, and do it consistently, you will bear the fruits of your labour at some point in time.”
