Home owners in some of the country’s hotspot holiday getaway locations have another option when it comes to renting their homes out over the holidays.
Belle Property has taken on the likes of Airbnb and launched Belle Property Escapes.
The platform has launched in Avalon/Palm Beach, Jervis Bay and Central Coast in New South Wales and Cairns in Queensland.
The expansion into the holiday rental market was a strategic next step for the property brand, Belle Property CEO Peter Hanscomb said.
“In 2018, Australia saw an increase in short-term and holiday rental demand right across the country, and you only have to look at the increase in domestic tourism in our key lifestyle areas to see it’s a growth market,” Mr Hanscomb said.
“The Belle Property Escapes brand was a natural progression for our business, given our expertise in premium property in Australia’s lifestyle-first suburbs.”
The premium real estate company believes it can be competitive in the competitive short-term holiday rental market, he said.
“Most providers in this space offer a DIY model, whereby the marketing and management of the property is undertaken by the owner. Belle Property Escapes is backed by 20 years of expertise in premium property, so properties will be managed by professionals who are experts in terms of maximising occupancy and income.”
The agency expects its website to offer an easy booking facility while having curated destination guides for those to get to know the area.
“From a consumer perspective, Belle Property Escapes takes the fuss out of planning a luxury getaway because it offers a one-stop shop to book and plan a holiday using destination guides that feature up-to-date knowledge including what’s on in the local area, plus where to eat, drink and explore,” Mr Hanscomb said.
This is part of Belle Property’s year of growth, and the agency plans to continue its expansion in 2020.
