A family-owned Queanbeyan agency is now operating under a new name, having recently switched networks.
Elders Queanbeyan | Jerrabomberra | Googong has announced it has rebranded and joined the LJ Hooker Group, marking the agency’s departure after 20 years under the Elders banner.
The agency’s switch to LJ Hooker Queanbeyan | Jerrabomberra | Googong was led by veteran Peter Stumbles, alongside Jonathon Stumbles, and Kellie Eagles.
Mr Stumbles, who has been in the real estate industry for more than four decades, said that the network move aims to boost the agency’s market presence in a highly competitive and in-demand region.
“Our decision to rebrand to the best-known name in real estate, LJ Hooker, means we can capture market share faster and future-proof the business. Australians know and trust the LJ Hooker name, so combined with our local market knowledge and expertise further cements our position in the Queanbeyan region,” he said.
The head of the NSW/ACT border-based agency said the move was made to provide better service to customers in the thriving real estate market in the region, which has seen year-on-year growth of approximately 15 per cent and selling times as low as seven days.
“LJ Hooker Group’s technology, lead generation, and training are like nothing else in the industry; and taking a leadership position is imperative in our shifting real estate market to better service customers.”
In response to the agency’s onboarding, LJ Hooker Group state director Stephen Mutton has acknowledged “It was a huge decision for them to take the business in this direction after 20 years with a competitor – we are grateful for the trust they have showed in our powerhouse brand.”
He added that the experienced agency, which had a role in the conception of the Googong Township and has tremendous local market expertise and insight, will further solidify the presence of the LJ Hooker brand in the ACT.
