The sought-after inner suburb of Sydney is set to be serviced by a new LJ Hooker team.

When Yianni Karakikes, principal of the new LJ Hooker office in Dulwich Hill, and his team were thinking of putting up an agency, it was reportedly an easy decision.

“LJ Hooker is a brand with a rich history and is renowned in the industry. Its honourable reputation was a significant attraction and one of the many reasons as to why we joined the network – to be part of a brand that spans generations gives us a competitive edge,” he explained.

Mr Karakikes believes that joining LJ Hooker will benefit their large local customer base by offering a full range of real estate services, including sales and property management, for residential properties.

He expounded: “Dulwich Hill and its surrounding suburbs have a mix of traditional federation homes as well as new modern, high-rise properties, so the area can cater to suit various needs and lifestyles. It’s also centrally located, close to the CBD, with easy access to transport and schools.”

Located just 7.5 kilometres south-west of the Sydney central business district, it’s no surprise that this location is gaining popularity among the younger market segment.

“The median house price in Dulwich Hill increased by 15.1 per cent over the last 12 months to $1.793 million, while the median unit price increased by 12 per cent to $614,000, demonstrating the demand for real estate in this area. In fact, we’re seeing many young professionals making the move as they seek to enter the property market without having to compromise on location,” Mr Karakikes pointed out.

For its part, LJ Hooker Group’s head of network performance, Stephen Mutton, was equally delighted with the Dulwich Hill agency’s addition to their network: “I’m thrilled that the national brand will be represented in the sought-after inner west suburbs of Sydney. It certainly is the mark of a real estate network when young, talented teams choose to open their own office with us while also entrusting us to support and guide them on their business growth journey.”
