West Australian agent Eric Hartanto has capped off an eventful year by hitting a big milestone.

The Harcourts Applecross principal has officially sold $1 billion worth of property over the course of his 17-year career – a landmark he reached in mid-November.

On his part, Mr Hartanto put the achievement down to taking a methodical view of the sales process.

“The repeat success is a result of our routines, systems, and proven process. The discipline with which we set targets and maintain listings, sales to achieve results for our clients is central to our success,” Mr Hartanto said.

It’s an approach that has earned him the admiration of his peers across the Harcourts network. When in 2020 he claimed the title of No.1 assisted salesperson in Western Australia at the REIWA Awards, Harcourts Western Australia CEO Paul Blakeley called him “the true king of consistency.”

He’s kept up that consistency since then, having been named to the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia’s (REIWA) Grand Master list for the ninth consecutive year in 2021. He also took out the network’s award for No.1 sales consultant in the state for the seventh year in a row.

In Mr Hartanto’s view, his $1 billion milestone has cemented his belief that tried and tested is best.

“Because we’re so committed to a process, we are able to provide the highest level of service at every stage of the real estate transaction process. So, clients receive the best possible result, and feel comfortable in the process,” he said.

Clients’ comfort is evidently what has kept them coming back, and Mr Hartanto is quick to show gratitude to those who have referred him to others, or entrusted him with their property on multiple occasions – which he reinforces shouldn’t be taken for granted.

Of his guiding principles in business, Mr Hartanto pushes himself to “give it 100 per cent and be grateful on each opportunity the client entrusted you with their property transaction”.

For now, it’s on to the next billion, and the agent will continue to be motivated by the same factors that have driven his previous sales: “The continuous support from my family, my team, our repeat clients, and my passion for always wanting to provide a better service to my clients.”
