Harcourts Smith is giving back to the community by doling out a “triple treat” during a local event.

The Adelaide-based firm shared that it has been named the sponsor of the Semaphore Street Fair — a one-day annual event set to take place on 27 November.

Kate Smith, who heads the agency, expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming festivities, which will be held on Semaphore Road and will be free of charge for all.

“This event welcomes in excess of 30,000 attendees, the main street is closed off for the day with all businesses booming and 300-plus road stalls representing local wares,” she stated.

The annual event was first staged in 1994 to commemorate the end of a bike race in Semaphore. And while the racing tilt has ceased, Ms Smith shared that traders have become more involved over the years.

“Food trucks, drink stalls, bands, amusement rides and entertainment are all part of the suburb’s most highly anticipated day,” she added.

Aside from being the fair’s major sponsor, the firm unveiled that it would also be hosting a charity auction during the day, the proceeds of which will be donated towards Variety SA.

A total of 30 items will be auctioned off by the office’s team to raise a total of $17,000 to help fund the children’s charity’s initiatives that focus on helping thousands of children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs to gain mobility.

The firm shared that Ms Smith has already offered a $10,000 donation, which will be presented on behalf of the agency to kick the auction off on the day.

On top of the charity auction, she shared that Harcourts Smith will also be hosting a VIP event for their clients on the day.

“The office will host a variety of entertainment options for the public — including a dunk tank, DJ, face painting, giant games, slushie machines and balloons,” she stated.

According to Ms Smith, the event highlights the importance of giving back to the local community the team operates in. She also views it as an opportunity for the team to raise funds for those who are in need.

“[The] significance and magnitude of this triple-treat day is a strongly held focus for the entire Harcourts Smith team.

“Harcourts Smith are extremely proud to participate and will continue to do so in years to come,”  Ms Smith stated.
