While Stewart Hartley's independent agency may have gotten off to a fast start in northeastern Queensland, he credits his new businesses success to decades of experience that enabled him to provide "what a great real estate service should look like."

Townsville-based Hartley Partners was launched in partnership with Agents’Agency earlier this year, but its namesake founder is “no stranger” to dealing with real estate transactions.

Mr Hartley shared he “‘fell into real estate” a few years ago after a highly successful global career in sales.

By becoming an agent, he revealed he was able to utilise his extensive knowledge of the property market, which was built over two decades of investing in the same city where he now operates.

The experience also provided him with a personal understanding of what exceptional real estate service entails, according to Mr Hartley.

Now 100 days into leading his own business, he shares that his  team also subscribes to his  “philosophy”  of providing services that embody what “a great real estate service should look like”.

Describing  the performance of his team as "crushing it," he noted that the brand has been well-received by clients and is delivering significant results.

“We’ve got a great team, and I’m loving being my own boss again in the knowledge the buck stops with me.”

In fact, Mr Hartley revealed they have already settled eight properties since the business opened their doors, have ten homes currently under contract, and a pipeline of listings on their books. Additionally, they are receiving a high volume of appraisal requests.

He also credited the ‘tight-knit’ nature of his team for their strong showing right from the start and highlighted the notable achievements of his team.

Hayden Cowan, who holds the role of sales support, has also delivered impressive results in the past few months, while office administrator Graham Segall was described as a  “powerhouse support person” behind the scenes.

He pointed out that even their latest recruit, Jayden Mitchell, has secured two new listings in his first week of prospecting, which will be coming to market in early May.

“We’re doing well and I’m really enjoying it, but we’re just getting started,” Mr Hartley stated.

He also credited his business’ success to being part of a network, as it allowed him to be “ conductor of my own orchestra”.

Mr Hartly said that with AgentsAgency providing support in other aspects of the business including  administration, training and marketing, he is able to focus his attention on providing “great service and sales expertise to his clients”, while also building the future of his business.

Looking forward, the business owner shared he has established clear goals that he is optimistic his team is “on track to exceed”.

“When we hit 60 sales, we’re off to lunch at Salsa in Port Douglas, my favourite lunchtime spot in the whole country, and that’s a meal we’re likely to enjoy this year,” he said.
