REB is thrilled to unveil this year’s top 50 agents in Queensland.

The third annual state-based Top 50 Agents Queensland 2023 ranking and associated report recognise the agents’ contribution to setting strong professional performance standards in Australia.

It also offers a benchmark for success and a record of achievement that other agents could aspire to.

At its heart, the ranking champions agents who have adopted a local approach to servicing their clients and achieved outstanding sales figures across the 2022 calendar year.

The ranking and report have been published by Real Estate Business (REB), produced jointly with parent company Momentum Media, and powered by research arm Momentum Intelligence.

After combating the challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis, agents are once again operating in a difficult market as economic headwinds dampen buyer demand and rising interest rates hinder their ability to secure a home loan.

These trends had an impact on the listed agents’ numbers in Queensland across several metrics, including sales numbers and total settlement values.

Regardless, Queensland agents persevered and pursued excellence, achieving strong results.

The top 50 Queensland agents sold 4,438 properties worth $5.4 billion in 2022, down from 5,108 properties worth $6.3 billion in 2021.

Out of this, the top 10 agents sold 971 properties valued at $1.7 billion, which was lower than the 1,231 sales achieved in the previous year, totalling $2.1 billion.

The top 50 agents sold an average of 91 properties, each valued at $110.11 million, falling short of the 102 properties sold in 2021 for $125.5 million.

Meanwhile, the top 10 agents sold an average of 108 properties valued at $191.63 million in 2022, down from 123 properties worth $211.2 million in the previous year.

As buyer demand tightened, days on market increased across the top 50 agents from 29 to 33.

However, the top 10 agents defied this trend, with days on market falling by three days year on year to 32.

For the ranking, agents were asked to submit data from their settled residential sales for the 2022 calendar year.

The rankings were determined by using a range of metrics, including the number of properties sold, the total dollar volume of properties sold, and the average sale value.

Each agent has been ranked comparatively across these three metrics against their peers, with the combined comparative score used to determine the top-ranked Australian agents.

Commenting on the achievements of the listed agents in Queensland, REB editor Grace Ormsby said:

“Making REB’s Top 50 Agents Queensland in 2023 is a huge coup for the professionals named.”

“Off the back of a challenging year, these agents went above and beyond in their pursuit of sales success, and being named in such a coveted list is recognition of their hard work and experience.”

“A huge congratulations to every single agent on this list.”

In the coming weeks, REB will release the Top 50 Agents 2023 rankings for Victoria and NSW.

The Top 100 Agents and Top 50 Women in Real Estate 2023 rankings will be revealed soon after.
