A pair of principals bolster the network’s expanded operations in the state.

John and Julie Hetherington have been lured to lead Raine & Horne’s Great Southern team, which has offices in Centennial Park and Kojonup, on the state’s southern tip.

Angus Raine, executive chairman at Raine & Horne, said a strong friendship between the pair and the Raine & Horne Rural WA team facilitated the move, adding: “We are thrilled to have them on board, and their expertise will be crucial as we expand our office network in Western Australia.”

The duo plan to focus on growing their rural property business, while also launching a Raine & Horne Rural office, emphasising their dedication to servicing the state’s expansive, and invaluable, regional pockets.

Ms Hetherington believes the move presents an exciting change to “collaborate with Raine & Horne Rural WA, aligning our efforts and expertise in this sector”.

A core factor driving their potential success will be the network’s utilisation of technology and other real estate rewarding tools, which she stressed will “greatly benefit our clients and enhance our service offerings”.

Ms Hetherington claimed they also warmed to the fact “Raine & Horne is proactive in helping its principals succeed”. She added the network’s “approach aligns perfectly with our vision for our business”.

“Our clients understand why we made this decision, because Raine & Horne’s longstanding brand reputation and support align with our commitment to delivering exceptional service,” she continued.

Mindy Powell-Hodges, Raine & Horne’s head of network, shared Mr Hetherington has consistently ranked in the top 3 per cent of Australian sales agents with his previous rural network, noting his accolades, in addition to the growth that the pair’s former business experienced under their watch, are key factors in inspiring Mr and Ms Hetherington’s arrival at Raine & Horne.

For his part, Mr Hetherington said: “We are excited to embark on this journey with them during this milestone year.”

He shared another key drawcard of the network is the Raine & Horne Foundation, which recently pledged support to several rural causes. Mr Hetherington explained they come from a charitable background, often sponsoring community events such as bowls and golf competitions.

He believes the foundation’s support will “be a positive addition to our existing community involvement, reinforcing our dedication to the local community”.

Moving forward within the whirlwind that has become the Western Australian property market may prove to be challenging. But Mr Hetherington remains firmly confident in the sturdy prospects of the state’s rural and residential markets.

“The market remains robust in this region, with high demand and a shortage of properties,” he explained.

“With a median house price of $362,000, this region offers very affordable housing compared to Perth, attracting a diverse range of buyers, including professionals in the health sector, those who can commute to the city for work, and first home buyers,” the principal concluded.
