The real estate brand has entrenched its presence on the North Queensland holiday market with the launch of their latest office.

Raine & Horne has launched its third office in the Townsville area, with their latest opening on Magnetic Island.

Long favoured by holiday-makers for its unspoilt natural scenery, abundance of wildlife and proximity to the Great Barrier Reef, Magnetic Island is a strategic new stronghold for the national network.

“It’s a really exciting market to be involved with,” enthused the office’s principal, Steve Leaumont.

He is undaunted by the prospect of servicing a holiday rental market, trusting that his experiences as principal of Raine & Horne Townsville and Raine & Horne Commercial Townsville will hold him in good stead.

“When I opened Raine & Horne Townsville, it was in a very challenging market and without a single customer. And now we look after 500 rental properties and we’re probably settling 20 properties a month in sales,” he claimed.

“I expect to do the same with Raine & Horne Magnetic Island.”

The Magnetic Island residential market consists of a diverse range of primarily holiday rental accommodation. From small one-bed duplexes to opulent 10-bedroom waterfront mansions, Mr Leaumont believes that the market holds great potential.

For the Raine & Horne Magnetic Island leader, the degree of difference from competitors will be the outpost’s major drawcard.

“We’re not merely Raine & Horne Townsville agents travelling over on the ferry; we’re fully invested in this unique community,” he asserted.

To demonstrate his commitment to the Magnetic Island community, Mr Leaumont shared that he recently purchased an apartment on the island “that I now practically call home”.

“In a community like this, it’s crucial to have a genuine, long-term commitment,” he said. “That’s why I purchased the unit, and I aspire to establish a physical presence for Raine & Horne Magnetic Island with a shop front.”

In terms of visual marketing, Mr Leaumont believes that Magnetic Island also has a chance to stand out from the crowd.

“We have certain standards that we will only use professional photography and videographers, for example, whereas other agents rely on iPhones,” he stated.

“The quality of service is just not there.”

In fact, to celebrate the opening of Raine & Horne Magnetic Island, the team is offering a special promotion: free professional photography, free drone photography and free floor plans to anyone who signs up as clients.

Network chairman Angus Raine expressed his hopes for the new opening, stating: “With a strong commitment to Magnetic Island’s community, Steve and the team at Raine & Horne Magnetic Island look poised to make a significant impact on the island’s real estate landscape.”
