OBrien Real Estate’s new Rowville office is the result of careful consideration and a well-thought-out approach, according to the network’s CEO.

“While we have big ambitions, we do not launch new offices without a lot of planning to ensure we have the right location and the right team to ensure we continue to provide OBrien’s level of service to our customers,” said OBrien Real Estate CEO, Mitch Armstrong.

Key in the brand’s focus when opening a new outpost is the passion of the person at the top.

“We have carefully analysed our sales and property management data and we know that our sales volume and market share are strongest in suburbs where we have a physical office run by a passionate local director,” Mr Armstrong added.

Evidently the Victorian-based network found what they were looking for in Adam Sorrell, a Rowville local who has been in real estate since 2006, and who has recently inaugurated OBrien Rowville in Melbourne’s south-east.

“Adam’s strong network of referred clients is a testament to his love of property, his desire to help people and his ability to deliver exceptional results,” Mr Armstrong commented.

Mr Sorrell, who is rebranding the office after several years with a different network, said that he was keen to take advantage of the education that this move will provide.

“I am proud of the work the team has done over the last five years but the move to OBrien is an exciting next step in that journey. OBrien Real Estate leads the industry in training and support and with their help, we look forward to continuing to service our clients to the highest standards during this dynamic time in the property market,” Mr Sorrell said.

The customer-forward attitude is aligned with the network’s approach, with Mr Armstrong noting that success starts with communication and community engagement.

“I think people connect with their local real estate office. They like the fact that they have an investment in the local community, employ local people and are there if they need them. While many transactions are conducted online or over the phone, there is no substitute for a face-to-face conversation when it gets to the pointy end of a negotiation,” the CEO said.

It’s this guiding principle that he is betting on to propel the network forward in its growth ambitions.

“Over the last 13 years, we have grown to a 40-plus network of offices, and our future is built around working with our directors and new recruits to service the key hubs of metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria,” Mr Armstrong added.
