A long-established real estate brand has become an official partner of Relationships Australia’s latest campaign.

Frasers Property Australia will work with Relationships Australia to support Neighbours Every Day, a community connection campaign that aims to improve social networks within local areas.

For the past 20 years, the family safety provider has hosted an annual Neighbour Day which aims to “promote the benefits of social connection and build capacity for people to make and maintain respectful relationships”.

This Neighbour Day, Frasers Property will host a series of events around Australia.

In Sydney, the brand will support a neighbourhood walk and pet playdate at Midtown MacPark, a cultural pot luck dinner in Ed.Square, and a St Patrick’s Day celebration in Rhodes Quarter.

They will also host a Very Neighbourly Fair in Wallara Waters in Melbourne, and a picnic in the park at Brookhaven in Queensland.

“To create belonging in the communities we build requires tangible action,” said Emily Wood, executive general manager of development at Fraser Property Australia.

“If the experience of our customers is to drive everything we do, we must respect and nurture the relationships and connections our customers have with each other and their community,” she said.

Wood noted that it is crucial to “ensure the social connections we envisage run through the design of the public spaces, through the built form, and through our community building programs”.

“Partnerships like that with Neighbours Every Day commits us to initiatives which will have an important impact on the health and wellbeing of everyone who lives and works in the places we made,” she explained.

The partnership with Frasers Property will also provide Relationships Australia with new data-driven insights into loneliness and social connection in local neighbourhoods.

Throughout the campaign, Fraser Property will report back participation findings and success stories, allowing both Relationships Australia and Frasers Property to continue honing community events in the future.

Nick Tebbey, national executive officer of Relationships Australia, said: “Research commissioned by Relationships Australia shows us that engagement with the Neighbours Every Day campaign leads to better-connected communities, improved resilience and mental wellbeing, and a sustained reduction in loneliness.”

“We are delighted to welcome Frasers Property as a Very Neighbourly Organisation and excited to work with them to create and share belonging across the country,” Tebbey said.
