The property and development industry will join forces to make a positive impact at the third annual Property4Good charity event.

Taking place on 17 May, the event will see industry professionals, community members and philanthropists come together in Brisbane to support charity Destiny Rescue’s mission to end human trafficking and child exploitation.

Jessica Reynold, managing director of JREY and founder of Property4Good, described the collaborative effort as demonstrating “the industry’s commitment to social responsibility” and underscoring “the power of collective action in addressing critical social issues”.

“I chose to partner with Destiny Rescue because they are a local Sunny Coast founded and headquartered charity, and they had a reputation and a level of professionalism that aligned with the values of the charity lunch,” Reynolds explained.

Within the past two years, the event has successfully raised $90,000 for Destiny Rescue, with the funds directly supporting the charity’s rescue missions and victim rehabilitation programs.

Reynolds also stated that the event has generated “continuous growth in exposure to the cause and charity” which she described as “absolutely crucial for Destiny Rescue”.

“Property4Good has steadily grown in size and impact since its inception in 2022 which is a testament to the amazing generosity and compassion of the people in our community,” Reynolds stated.

Key speaker for the upcoming event and property developer of the Lowanna Beach Resort project, Lorna Willis, stated she has “seen the power of community-driven initiatives firsthand”.

“From fighting homelessness to fundraising to save children, we can make a real difference when we come together with compassion and determination,” Willis proclaimed.

Paul Mergard, CEO of Destiny Rescue and a guest speaker for the event, stated that support from Reynolds and the Property4Good team had been invaluable in Destiny Rescue’s efforts to rescue and restore lives affected by human trafficking.

“What sets Property4Good apart is not their financial contributions but also their commitment to raising awareness about the issue of human trafficking.

“We’ve recently celebrated the bittersweet milestone of 15,000 rescues and through the effects of Property4Good, more people are becoming educated about the realities of modern-day slavery, and in turn, are inspired to take action,” Mergard concluded.
