Four new Queensland offices have boosted the Coronis Group’s footprint over the first quarter of 2025.
New offices in Southport on the Gold Coast, Mitchelton and Ascot in Brisbane and Coolum on the Sunshine Coast have expanded the Coronis Group’s presence across what the brand has dubbed as Australia’s new “Golden Arc”’.
The Coronis Group said its expansion over the past quarter was driven by the surge in interstate and overseas migration in Queensland.
Recent data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) found that over half (52.9 per cent) of the Sunshine Coast’s population increase was from overseas migration in FY2023–24.
Over the last financial year, the data also showed that the Gold Coast received Queensland’s highest rate of new residents for any area, in addition to the 2.7 per cent increase in population within Brisbane, bringing the city’s population closer to 3 million citizens.
Coronis said demand for purchasing property has lifted from the rapid population growth, with home values in the past five years growing by 76.6 per cent in the Gold Coast, 68.5 per cent in the Sunshine Coast and rising 69.3 per cent in Brisbane.
To leverage this growth climate in Queensland, Coronis CEO Karuna Mazzocchi said it was the right time to bolster the brand’s footprint in the Sunshine State.
“The opening of Coronis Southport, Ascot, Mitchelton and Coolum have added to our already strong footprint in what has become Australia’s most sought-after region for property,” Mazzocchi said.
As a result of the favourable market conditions across the “Golden Arc”, the owner of the newly opened Coronis Ascot, Oliver Jonker, managed to notch up his best February results after a decade in the real estate industry.
Two established Coronis agents also took advantage of the favourable market to start their own agencies, with Dale Kayrooz opening Coronis Southport and Jackson Oram adding Coronis Mitchelton to the network’s ranks.
Over in the Sunshine Coast, local agent Kerry Sullivan transitioned over to Coronis and opened the new network’s new Coolum outpost, noting that the switch has left him “invigorated” to elevate his services for his clients.
Mazzocchi shared that she was “extremely proud” of how all the brand’s partnership franchises had performed since opening and added that “it comes back to having the right people and providing the right support for each agency.
“The Coronis Group is on a growth trajectory, and I’m excited for everything to come with our incredible team. Our mission is to change people’s lives for the better, and that’s exactly what each of our agencies are doing,” she said.
