For the first time, the Australasian Real Estate Conference (AREC) will introduce the Propic Auditorium, a fresh addition to enriching the delegate experience at this year’s event.
Set within the Exhibition Hall at AREC25, the Propic Auditorium offers an intimate and engaging format where delegates can tune in via wireless headphones during morning tea and lunch breaks to access live panels and in-depth discussions on the evolving landscape of real estate.
The 27th annual Australasian Real Estate Conference (AREC) will host various property experts and renowned speakers on Sunday, 25 May, and Monday, 26 May, at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.
This year, the conference will focus on giving practical and tactical takeaways to help attendees create long-term industry success.
Head of Total Real Estate Training and organiser of AREC, Izzy Savva, said the new Propic Auditorium initiative was a strategic collaboration to deliver more impactful content to attendees.
“This is an exciting partnership designed to add value for our delegates attending this year’s conference as part of the offering,” Savva said.
The Propic Auditorium will host a packed two-day program focused on innovation, technology, and business transformation in real estate.
Day 1: Business Growth, AI, and the Future of Search
Day one starts with a high-energy session titled, “The 10x Effect: Unlocking Growth in Real Estate”.
Facilitated by Troy Malcolm, the session will bring together Kon Stathopoulos, Andrew McCullouch, and David Gray to explore how leading agents are scaling profits and performance using proven models and mindset strategies.
At lunch, delegates will be able to tune into the panel session, “No Data, No AI: Why Intelligence Starts with Infrastructure”.
The panel, facilitated by Daniel Bignold, and featuring Sarah Bell, Seth Watts, and Drew McTavish, challenges the AI buzz, stressing that without quality data, artificial intelligence (AI) is meaningless.
The conversation will also dive into practical approaches to turning AI into a competitive advantage.
The second lunch session, “High Stakes, High Spend: Making VPA Work Harder”, will tackle vendor-paid advertising head-on.
Facilitated by Dirk Miller with insights from Isabelle Cross Winston, Avi Khan, and Emma Thompson, the session will explore how agencies can shift from traditional marketing spend to smarter, ROI-driven campaign strategies.
Attendees will wrap up the first day with “Rewriting Search: How Buyers Find Property in 2025.”
Facilitated by Steve Carroll, and featuring Dirk Miller and Gavin Lloyd, the afternoon session will explore how buyer behaviour has shifted, with conversational and predictive search changing how people discover property, reducing reliance on traditional portals.
Day 2: Tools, Technology, and Reimagining Value
Day two begins with “The New Model of Property Management” during morning tea, facilitated by Andrew Colagiuri.
The session will bring together Nick Georges, Scott Bateman, Jane Workman, Ewan Morton, and Rebecca Halton to examine how automation, outsourcing, and AI transform property management.
Attendees will get a vision of what high-performing rent rolls will look like in the future.
The first lunch session, titled “Plugged In: Building a Connected Real Estate Tech Stack”, will be facilitated by Drew McTavish, featuring Mark Cohen and Matt McGown.
The session will explore how leading agencies have built integrated systems that link CRMs, contracts, AI tools, and more, streamlining operations and boosting efficiency.
The second lunch session, “Value Gap: Why Are Proptechs Worth More?”, facilitated by Dirk Miller, the discussion features Antonia Mercorella, Sadhana Smiles, and Rhys Rogers who will bring the conference to a thought-provoking close.
It will explore why tech companies built around the real estate sector often command higher valuations than traditional agencies and how real estate professionals can leverage this knowledge to their advantage.
David Choi of Propic said the new partnership transforms the Propic Auditorium at AREC into a key destination for real estate innovation.
“By leveraging industry relationships, we’ve curated a dynamic line-up of sessions that dive into business growth strategies, cutting-edge tech trends, and emerging marketing and business models shaping the future of real estate,” Choi said.
In addition to the Propic Auditorium experience, the AREC conference will showcase over 30 guest speakers, including Mauricio Umansky, Josh Phegan, Adrian Oddi, David Walker, Anthony Bell, and Tobias Johnstone.
AREC25 will return to the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on 25 and 26 May. Register here.
