Realestate.com.au has unveiled a number of immersive app features ahead of spring, including AI-powered features, giving customers an enhanced experience.

Realestate.com.au has announced five new immersive app features for spring to prepare for the peak selling season.

REA Group said that the features include immersive property walkthrough videos, AI property highlights, building and pest reports, a make an offer button, and monthly market insights.

With the new update, property buyers will be able to virtually move through the home to examine the layout, natural lighting, and room size as if they were there in person.

Additionally, property highlights powered by AI will inform property seekers about the key features of a property, making it easier to compare listings.

The update will also include integrations to buy building and pest reports, as well as check NBN availability.

“Consumers can generate Before You Buy building, pest and strata reports, and get the most up-to-date information on a property’s NBN connectivity, all within a listing,” REA Group said.

Further, property buyers will be able to use their account to make an offer by sending the price and terms directly to the agent, with the ability to edit or withdraw at any time.

Finally, the last new feature provides market insights, with buyers able to track their property following settlement for a monthly summary of realEstimate changes, nearby sales, and buyer demand.

“Owners can stay ahead in their local market and discover key trends and insights about their property value and local market performance. These insights build confidence before owners make their next move,” the company said.

REA Group executive general manager, consumer product, Jonathan Swift, said the latest app features were developed to improve the entire property journey with immersive experiences.

“New tools help property seekers understand more about a property and encourage them to take action sooner while agents can put their best foot forward by showcasing their vendors’ properties like never before,” he said.

“We know from our recent research that almost seven in 10 buyers agree that the more information and understanding they have of the market, the quicker they can negotiate a deal with the agent or seller.”

He said customers have also expressed interest in having access to interactive floor plans, videos, and more details about the unique features of a property.

“Our unparalleled market insights and new immersive features are all about being that source of information to help property seekers build their confidence,” Swift concluded.
