REMAX Australia has teamed up with an anti-money laundering software provider to streamline the agency’s compliance preparations ahead of the upcoming Tranche 2 legislation.
Real estate network REMAX has partnered with AMLHUB to provide training and support, helping its professionals prepare for the new obligations under the upcoming Tranche 2 legislation.
The partnership has already seen training delivered on the impacts the obligations will have on a business's day-to-day operations ahead of the obligations coming into place in July 2026.
REMAX Australia finance director Chris Chapman said that appointing AMLHUB as the agency’s preferred supplier would give agents within the network access to specialised training ahead of the changes.
“It’s important to us that our network of professionals feel confident and equipped to manage the new anti-money laundering (AML) legislation, and preparation is key,” Chapman said.
Chapman added that the training would provide agents with clarity on their understanding of compliance measures and how to identify doubtful behaviours.
AMLHUB VP of sales Katherine Andersen said the platform would support real estate professionals in ensuring they remained compliant under the new legislation.
“Agents are at the coalface and in the best position to identify suspicious behaviour, and our team are here to support representatives throughout the rollout and continuing through implementation of the legislation,” Andersen said.
AMLHUB CEO Richard Manthel said that the industry was experiencing a growing awareness of AML reforms across the Australian real estate sector.
“Our focus is on helping the industry prepare early with the right systems, training and support so that when reforms take effect, businesses can manage their AML obligations with confidence,” Manthel concluded.
Earlier this year, AMLHUB also teamed up with Comedian Jimmy Rees to deliver an entertaining explanation of what industry professionals can expect from the reforms.
