A rent roll specialist has united real estate professionals to raise funds for children with cancer, strengthening community connections and the industry’s commitment to giving back.

Over the course of a golf day, Pendium Advisory brought together approximately 100 real estate business owners and corporate representatives to raise money for The Kids’ Cancer Project.

NSW Pendium Advisory & Finance associate director Stuart Hobden said that no family should face children’s cancer, and raising funds and awareness was a way for the industry to make a real difference.

“Being able to contribute in a tangible way – not just write a cheque – but actually create an event that raised funds and awareness meant a lot to our team,” Hobden told REB.

Hobden said that supporting children's cancer fight was similar to helping real estate business owners have an impact and build their legacy.

“Supporting The Kids’ Cancer Project reflects that same belief – investing in a better future where the impact lasts far beyond today. This event allowed us to bring the industry together to do exactly that.”

Hobden said the event highlighted the industry at its best, with participants fostering stronger connections and a shared purpose beyond the boardroom.

In total, the event raised over $7,000 for childhood cancer research.

Over the last 30 years, The Kids’ Cancer Project has supported children with cancer, funding 429 research projects, committing $76 million, and engaging 53 scientists to improve treatments.

Hobden said the industry has been uniquely positioned to bring together business owners, partners, sponsors, and clients around a shared purpose, driving meaningful community impact.

“Giving back isn’t a cost. It’s an investment in the type of industry we want to build and be part of.”

“When you create the space for people to come together, people will lean in. The return is bigger than the day itself, “ he concluded.
