Agency links with stylist firm to boost sales

A real estate office in Toowoomba, Queensland, has teamed up with an interior stylist group in a bid to bolster the sales appeal of its listed properties.

“The idea is to establish a point of difference at our open homes and to offer extra value for our sellers, especially for those sellers whose homes are currently vacant,” said Harcourts Toowoomba sales consultant, Paige Featherstone, who developed the concept.

“Dressing and styling a vacant home instantly makes it more saleable [sic] so it’s great to join forces with a funky store like Lemon-cello in order to achieve the best possible results for our sellers.

“When it comes to buying a home, most people will purchase a property based on emotions, so effectively styling a property definitely increases its [sales appeal],” Ms Featherstone said.

The office, which has linked with Lemon-cello Home Studio, will now offer the service which sees vacant properties ‘styled’ at no charge. It will also offer their services to vendors of occupied homes at a “small cost”.

“This is a unique partnership which will display an innovative approach to both real estate and interior styling, and will bring some style to our otherwise vacant properties,” Ms Featherstone continued.

“Basically the joint venture is going to start as a ‘pop-up’ style store which is a temporary Lemon-cello boutique in one of Harcourts Toowoomba’s vacant properties,” she said.

“The first pop-up store is opening this weekend and in a few weeks the Lemon-cello team will be styling one of our vendor’s vacant homes before it goes on the market.”

Ms Featherstone said she is confident that this venture will not only set Harcourts apart from its competition but will also ensure that their vendors’ homes have the best possible chance of selling.

“The idea is to establish a point of difference at our open homes and to offer extra value for our sellers, especially for those sellers whose homes are currently vacant.”
