The aim of a merger between a franchise group's Bunbury office, in Western Australia, and a local independent agency is to create a new “super office”, the companies have reported.
"The merger between Teede and Harcourts was an incredibly logical move and will enable us to provide top quality real estate service to the Bunbury area,” said Richard Morgan, principal of Harcourts Bunbury.
Four highly experienced sales consultants from Teede Realty will remain as part of the merger, according to a company statement, and have all undergone training with Harcourts Western Australia’s state academy trainer, Wayne Davey.
“Established in 1933, Teede Realty is one of the oldest and most respected real estate groups in Bunbury," Mr Morgan continued.
“Combining the experience of Harcourts, who were established in 1888, with Teede Realty is great news for Bunbury.
“To have this wealth of knowledge and a strong company structure that can only come from having longevity in business is rare in real estate. At Harcourts Bunbury we’re excited about the opportunity this can bring to the town.”
The merger saw Harcourts Bunbury relocate to the Teede Realty building in Blair Street, Bunbury in mid Decemeber.
The Teede building is currently in the process of being rebranded, and the merged group will trade as Harcourts Bunbury.
Stuart Cox, chief executive officer of Harcourts Western Australia, said he is thrilled with the merger.
“This merge is a major step forward for Harcourts in Western Australia’s south west,” Mr Cox said.
