One national franchise has claimed the auction market in Queensland is picking up, with results of up to 100 per cent clearance rates.
Newly appointed Harcourts Queensland chief auctioneer Mitch Peereboom said now is the ideal time to sell through auction in the Sunshine State.
“The market is very buoyant at the moment; with comprehensive marketing campaigns we have seen strong buyer presence at open homes, which has translated into some great results under the hammer," he said.
While auction fever has hit both Sydney and Melbourne for the last few months, Mr Peereboom said it’s still a valid method of sale in Queensland.
“An auction is attractive to buyers because it shows the vendor is committed to selling their property, whilst the vendor has peace of mind knowing after auction day they will walk away with a signed, cash unconditional contract of sale, allowing them to plan for the future.
"The service my auction team provides means we work tirelessly to ensure vendors are given the best possible opportunity to get a premium result,” Mr Peereboom said.
CEO for Harcourts Queensland Jim Midgley said the new chief auctioneer role has been created at a pivotal time for the state.
“It’s great to see improved confidence in the market with auction clearance rates up, and Mitch has already achieved such fantastic results in his new role,” he said.
