Agency gives locals a history lesson

An inner-city office has created a mini-documentary series of their local area as part of a hyperlocal marketing campaign.

Last week, Sydney-based Wilson Property Agents launched their ‘We love Hyde Park’ campaign, designed to profile the evolution of one of Sydney city’s most iconic parks.

As part of the campaign, a three-part mini-series is hoping to educate and entice buyers and potential tenants to the area through their new website.

Wilson Property Agents’ principal and managing director, Adrian Wilson, told Real Estate Business that being perceived as the area experts is important in today’s property market.

“Sydney is broken up into a lot of precincts, and in our business we have different specialists in each of these areas. But our core area is Hyde Park where we have a large market share," he said.

“We pride ourselves on being the Hyde Park property specialists. I myself have been a resident, both a tenant and owner, for the past five years and of course, it’s where the Wilson Property Agents brand was born.

“We have extensive knowledge of the buildings' history, design and construction and most importantly, the area’s true property values in the current market,” Mr Wilson said.

With the first part of the series, The Evolution of Hyde Park, now available on their website, the office hopes to have parts two and three, Love Living in Hyde Park and The Future of Hyde Park, ready later this month.

In addition to the mini-series, the office is hosting a Hyde Park seminar to be held in July, where potential investors and current owners can find out more about the market and be able to take part in a Q&A session with local experts.

The campaign also highlights key residential buildings on and around the park, local dining favourites and hotspots, local schools and education.

“We want to showcase the area for what it really is, especially for those who don’t have the opportunity to get out during the weekend and take a look at what real estate is available.

“They’re missing out on what makes this a great place to live, so we want to show people that without them having to leave the computer,” Mr Wilson said.
