How COVID-19 is changing the way agents work

Commercial property specialists need to change the way they do business, as pigeonholed agents will likely see profits fall.

LJ Hooker commercial managing director Mathew Tiller has welcomed a string of new sales, leasing and asset management specialists over the last six months who have been drawn to expand their profiles across industrial, retail, office, hotels, site sales and agribusiness.

“COVID-19 has shown the industry that if you’re pigeonholed to one area and discipline, like office sales or retail leasing, your potential can be limited,” Mr Tiller said.

Mr Tiller explained that agents across his commercial network are allowed the freedom to list, sell, lease and manage properties across any market, to help expand their portfolio during this challenging time for commercial property specialists.
