Hervey Bay’s RE/MAX offering has boosted its service offering in anticipation of a strong pick-up in sales, welcoming a new office manager to the team.

RE/MAX Partners Real Estate has revealed the appointment of Jess Denton to the role.

According to principal Reece O’Brien, “we sought Jess for her experience in real estate administration and bringing her into the team will allow us to better service our customers”.

A local Hervey Bay resident herself, Ms Denton will support the sales team of Mr O’Brien, Stephen and Laura Wright, and Amanda Batcheler.

According to a statement from RE/MAX, Ms Denton’s appointment comes as the team sold more than $13.1 million worth of property across the September quarter, from 40-plus contracts.

The real estate brand said it appears RE/MAX Partners Real Estate has the perfect trifecta for success, with the principal saying: “The market is fantastic; we work as a team; and we are incredibly positive and have been from the get-go. And we are here to do our Hervey Bay market proud.”

He’s forecasting strong market activity for the rest of the year.

Mr O’Brien said: “Local buyers and sellers are very active, with many keen to upgrade ahead of rising prices; and the interstaters have worked out the value in this Queensland region, comparing the Fraser Coast to the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast and finding a better property for their dollars.

“We are consistently seeing multiple offers in all sectors of the market and price points from $200k to $700k, which leads to good prices achieved.”

Noting the availability of vacant land as being particularly low, the principal said: “If the stock is there, it will be sold.”

With demand so high, days on market are as low as Mr O’Brien has ever seen.

He’s credited auctions for doing much of the heavy lifting and buyer demand, stating the sale method as “unsurpassed in creating both interest and competition”.

“The majority of auction campaigns are resulting in properties selling prior to the set auction day,” the principal has observed.
