While much of the nation turns its attention to the upcoming federal election, Brisbane’s property market continues to thrive and Place Estate Agents is leading the charge with the launch of its largest auction campaign, The Autumn Day.
Kicking off with a major in-room auction event on 21 May, and continuing with onsite auctions over the following four days, the campaign will feature more than 100 homes across Greater Brisbane.
Peter Burgin, Place’s chief auctioneer, said the market remains buoyant despite the political backdrop.
“There’s often the assumption that elections cause buyers and sellers to pause, but that’s not what we’re seeing on the ground. In fact, buyer enquiry has remained stable since January, and confidence across the market is consistent,” he said.
The timing of The Autumn Day comes as Brisbane’s property performance continues to outpace other capital cities.
According to CoreLogic, Brisbane’s clearance rates have remained steady above 65 per cent through April, with auction volumes up more than 30 per cent year-on-year.
Place’s managing director, Paul Curtain, said the multiday format is designed to maximise exposure and give buyers and sellers the momentum they need heading into winter.
“This is an exciting event, and it will be one of the biggest coordinated auction events Brisbane has seen in years. We’re expecting strong competition across all five days,” he said.
“We’ve structured the event to give properties the spotlight they deserve, starting with an exciting in-room auction on 21 May, followed by several days of onsite activity. It’s a powerful way to bring energy into the market at a time when many agents traditionally slow down.”
With standout branding, high visibility across the city, and momentum already building across buyer databases, The Autumn Day is quickly shaping up to be a defining event in Brisbane’s 2025 property calendar.
