National real estate network The Agency is sharpening its focus on Western Australia, announcing a trio of senior appointments to support its growth strategy in the state.
Brett Hancock, a seasoned industry leader with more than a decade in high-level roles, joins as licensee and compliance manager – sales. Hancock previously held the role of state sales manager and licensee at Arcadia Group and was at the helm of one of Rockingham’s largest offices.
Alayne Meyer-Shaw has been named licensee and head of property management – Western Australia. Her division currently manages more than 800 properties and is growing at a rate of over 30 per month, signalling strong momentum in the state’s rental market.
Rounding out the leadership expansion is Jack Wormington, who takes on the role of Western Australia sales and performance manager. With 13 years of experience and two agency foundations to his name, Wormington adds entrepreneurial depth to the leadership team.
The appointments come as The Agency eyes further growth in Western Australia, where it already operates 182 offices – roughly 40 per cent of its national footprint of 464 locations.
“We’re incredibly proud of the results we’ve delivered over the past few years, and these appointments are a key part of building on that success,” said Stuart Cox, general manager of The Agency Western Australia.
“With a clear growth strategy in place, the calibre of our leadership team provides a strong foundation for our continued expansion throughout WA.”
The leadership reshuffle positions The Agency to capitalise on Western Australia’s buoyant property market, with strategic oversight across compliance, property management, and performance expected to underpin its push for market share in 2025 and beyond.
It comes just months after The Agency announced that Michael Wood had been appointed as the new general manager of sales at The Agency Victoria.
With over 15 years of experience in real estate, Wood has worked in the Melbourne markets of Boroondara and Stonnington, developing a comprehensive skill set in campaign execution, including listing, marketing, negotiating sales and strategy.
Wood was also a senior sales executive and auctioneer at Marshall White, and sales manager and auctioneer at Jellis Craig.
Passionate about real estate, he has previously been selected as a finalist in the Real Estate Institute of Victoria’s senior auctioneering competition, and represented Victoria at the Australasian Auctioneering Championships (AUSTROS).
