New and state-of-the-art proprietary technology will allow buyers, investors and even enthusiasts to better understand and analyse properties — all without leaving the comforts of their home.

CoreLogic Asia-Pacific has revealed a partnership with geospatial information services provider Nearmap to enhance their geospatial offerings through “best-in-class aerial imagery and superior location insights”.

According to the research group, Nearmap’s aerial imagery will be integrated into CoreLogic’s solutions, in a bid to provide users with better mapping and imagery data across a number of the research house’s suite of valuations and property insights products including ValConnect, PropertyHub and RP Data.

It was reported that the new features will even allow Cordell Connect users to see changes on development sites over time as well as access historical imagery for “before and after” visual comparisons.

Nearmap captures 100 urban areas across Australia — covering 90 per cent of the population. It takes images in high resolution and produces 2D vertical, oblique, 3D and AI products.

Highlighting CoreLogic’s passion for data accuracy and coverage, executive for data and analytics Tim Jenner hopes the new partnership will allow the group to ultimately help Australians make smarter property decisions — even remotely.

He said: “Having reliable access to exceptional imagery helps our clients better understand properties, how they have changed over time, as well as the surrounding environment, potentially reducing the need to physically visit sites.

“Integrating Nearmap’s industry-leading geospatial technology with CoreLogic’s property data universe will allow us to seamlessly deliver high-resolution, current aerial imagery, overlaid with CoreLogic’s rich property data and insights.”

Users will now be better equipped to understand the features of a property and its surrounding environment, perform in-depth locational analysis and use rich visualisation tools with better area coverage.

“[We are] continually raising the bar to ensure we power our customers with best-in-market property insights,” the executive continued.

“We’re excited that our clients will be enabled to plan projects, make confident property decisions and boost efficiencies from their desktop with crisp and sharp Nearmap imagery.”
